A Slip Dress That Works For Any Season

Swapping wardrobes every season is a hassel, so in my opinion its better to have pieces that work for all seasons. When Olive French asked me to feature their Kendall Neutral Zebra Satin Slip Midi Dress, I jumped on the opportunity for 3 reasons; because 1) I love Olive French’s boutique collection, 2) I love slip dresses, and 3) Zebra is a hot trend right now. At the time, I had no idea just how versatile this piece would be. It wasn’t until I started pairing it with pieces from both my winter and spring wardrobes that I realized how it could be a wardrobe staple for any season. Its versatility comes from the fact that it’s airy but long, lending itself to being worn solo or with layers. And since the dress contains both black and champagne colors, it pairs well with both dark and light hues. For the coldest of weather (in Philadelphia anyway), the dress can be worn as a skirt with the help of a turtleneck. In today’s first look (above), I’ve styled the Kendall Slip Dress in just this way; with a Zaful turtleneck, my favorite Whoosh Wool Coat, and the most affordable combat boots out there.

In today’s second look, I’ve styled the dress for warmer weather. I used my Poize Workwear Blazer and pair of mules to make the dress more spring/fall appropriate. And in the last ensemble, I’m wearing the dress nearly by itself. I simply draped a Bishop + Young sweater over my shoulders and threw on my Cole Haan sneakers for this casual summer look.

I think it’s pretty self explanatory but I’ll say it anyway. The Kendall Neutral Zebra Satin Slip Midi Dress, by Olive French, is a must-have for this season, the next one, and the one after that.
