Stay Active with Holbrook Pickleball

Apparently, mid-February is the time of year when most people let their New Year’s resolutions go by the wayside. And since fitness is such a popular theme, I thought I’d share a fun way to keep up with that promise of staying active.

Going to the gym is all good and well, but it can get boring for some (a.k.a me). I much prefer to be social and play sports; pickleball in particular has become my favorite way to stay active these day. As a couple who enjoys playing tennis, Bill and I were happy to find a new and exciting racket sport to play together. A cross between paddleball and tennis, pickleball is becoming increasingly popular. It’s not only a great way to stay fit but also a chance to enjoy the company of existing and potential new friends.

My preferred equipment for this sport is the Centre Court Paddle and Outdoor Pickleballs from Holbrook. Part of that strong preference is driven by the beautiful checkered pattern and chestnut-colored grip of this paddle. But truly, my love for these products is deeply rooted in their quality. When Bill and I fist started playing with a set of generic paddles and balls, we didn’t really know what it felt like to play with a quality set. That is until we started playing with Holbrook. The Centre Courte Paddle is part of their performance line; with a responsive polypropylene honeycomb core and a carbon fiber graphite blend surface, this lightweight paddle combines power and precision. The Holbrook Outdoor Pickleballs are more durable than most, allowing for more playtime before needing a replacement. Additionally, we noticed that these balls have a significantly better bounce than the others we’ve tried.

With the accuracy and faster pace that this equipment provides, you and your opponent are sure to get a good workout in, keeping that New Years Resolution going. Follow this link to find a pickleball court near you and for more information about the sport itself, have a read through of Holbrook’s “Everything To Know About Pickleball” blog post.

I hope you enjoy this sport and method of staying active as much as Bill and I do!
