How To Style The Oversized Blazer

  1. Outfit #1: Blazer + Slouch Boots

Say hello to the “boyfriend blazer,” also known as the “dad blazer.” Whatever you want to call it, the oversized blazer is a thing! Today I’m sharing two popular ways to style this trend with the help of my new Qupid shoes!

In outfit #1, I’ve styled one of my dad’s old blazers with a pair of knee-high slouch boots. These two trends go hand-in-hand. In fact, the oversized blazer is often used as a dress when worn with tall boots like these Malone Boots in light brown by Qupid (which are under $45 by the way)! This blazer was not long enough for me to pull off as a dress, so I paired it with a short all-white outfit underneath. I think this is a great way to wear the dad blazer because showing a little skin helps make the baggy item more flattering! In outfit #2, I’ve paired one of my brother’s old blazers with my new favorite strappy heel, the Backfire Heel by Qupid. Side note, these heels go with absolutely everything, are pretty darn comfortable for stilettos, and are under $35. Pairing the oversized blazer with some denim and strappy heels is probably the second most popular way to pull off the dad blazer trend. Keeping it simple is always a smart move!

If you don’t have an oversized blazer in your wardrobe, head on over to your dad’s/brother’s/boyfriend’s and borrow one! If you truly want one of your own, Forever 21 has a huge selection of blazers which I’d suggest sizing up for in order to get the oversized look.
