It gives you the opportunity to shop today’s latest vintage trends while also putting a unique twist on it. Goodwill is hands-down my favorite place to thrift shop. Not only are their prices consistent and reasonable, but they are also a non-profit charity! I am impressed specifically with the partnership between Goodwill Monocacy Valley and Give Back Box. The Give Back Box program lets online shoppers reuse their shipping package to send their unwanted clothing and household items to organizations like Goodwill. This program helps keep cardboard shipping containers and used textile out of the landfill. What was once old is now new again. It’s no surprise that trends from previous decades are coming back around. One of my favorites is the matching sweater set. 3. Oversized Blazers
The oversized blazer has been popular literally all year and the trend isn’t going away anytime soon. Thankfully, Goodwill Monocacy Valley has a plethora of oversized blazer options. Again, feel free to use the filters on the left-hand side to narrow down your search (size, color, etc). If you’re looking for an oversized look, I would size up anywhere between 2-4 sizes higher than your normal size. For example, the blazer I’ve featured in today’s post is a size 10. 4. Mom Jeans
If I had to guess, jeans would probably be the most common thrifted item. The high-waisted loose-fit denim cut (otherwise known as “mom jeans”) is one of the most trending jean styles to date. The collection of women’s denim jeans is quite extensive but you can filter by size to help your search. If you’re looking for high-waisted jeans make sure the listing specifies the “rise” measurement as 11 inches or higher. The oversized sweater vest is a relatively new trend that I was introduced to by scrolling through my Instagram discover page. This is another great item to shop with Goodwill because there are so many cool sweater vests available. The one I went with (styled above) is a men’s size L that I converted into a crop top. 10. Heeled Mules
I’m obsessed with the shoe designer Tony Bianco, specifically their heeled mules! These gorgeous black heels from Goodwill Monocacy Valley are nearly identical to one of the Tony Bianco designs.
